Landing head

NSB casing flanges are supplied in standard configuration with two outlets and vertical channels with clear opening in accordance with requirements for API 6A sizes.

At customer's request, the casing with various threading or with counterbore for welding is available for delivery. Such cases may also be used for connection with clamp hub.

Case head / Spool

Tubing spools are used for the column suspension. Lower flange of the cases is countersunk for B-type secondary seal group. The spools are supplied with the lower connections on clamp hub as well.

Single block christmas tree

Case head / Spool

Christmas trees with gate valves in a single housing provide reduced size systems ready for restricted space installation, and improve flameproof due to less potential leakage passages. Safety during field installation is increased as well.


Housing is manufactured out of solid forging in various configurations. Different sizes, combinations, working pressures, and enclosures are available. Standard configuration includes lower flange and a counterbore for the tubing suspension journal mounting.


Seals

Seals

Seal assembly consists of the primary and secondary group. Each group has two similar seal supports and a double-lip seal rubber spacer. The assembly uses pressure difference to provide positive seal. The positive seal efficiency does not depend either on manually regulated initial load nor suspended case load.

Pipe rams / casing suspension

Single slip hanger assembly snapped around casing and sunk into the landing head. Nominal load capacity of BS-G is 50% of the load at the beginning of the pipe body fluctuation. Separate seal assembly is mounted on the casing after slip hanger seating and cutting-off of the casing. This separate seal assembly called O-Ring G uses interferential sealing and cannot be used in spools fitted with locking screws.


Pipe rams / casing suspension

Used, when the casing weight is not enough for the slip hanger seal actuation. BS-M is a slip hanger snapped around casing, where the seal is actuated by screws with head. This slip hanger cannot be used in spools fitted with locking screws.


Pipe rams / casing suspension

An automatic hanger snapped around casing, where tubing-casing annulus seal is actuated by the case weight. Generally, tubing-casing annulus seal actuation requires 25-30 metric tons of weight. The hanger is fitted with a snap driven by spring connecting both halves of the hanger. Wedge tapered segments have coarse external surface for firm grip of casing. Nominal load capacity of BS is 50% of the load at the beginning of the pipe body fluctuation.

An automatic hanger snapped around casing, where tubing-casing annulus seal is actuated by the case weight. The hanger is fitted with a snap driven by spring connecting both halves of the hanger. Two sets of wedges support the weight of the casing preventing downward travel and casing collapse. Wedge tapered segments have coarse external surface for firm grip of casing. Nominal load capacity of BSHD is 80% of the load at the beginning of the pipe body fluctuation.

Pipe handling unit (bulb)

Pipe handling units with extended neck are threaded for the back pressure valve.

Bottom part has a tubing handling thread. The top part has an ascensional thread. The handling units also have a thread for the back pressure valve primarily used in combination with the sunken bleeders. 1/4" orifice is fitted with NPT for connection of the sunken bleeder control line.

Various types of the pipe handling units and ascensional thread are available.

Cap fittings

Cap fitting is a single adapter generally used in combination with the pipe handling units with elongated neck. The cap fitting bottom fitted with flanges or studs. The top part is fitted with studs. Cap inner channel can receive handle unit with elongated neck. This channel separates the pipe pressure from lower flange. Cap fitting forms an entry for connection of subsurface bleeder medium with the pipe handling unit.

Backpressure valve (two-cycle) is applied only on the stage of well completion with new equipment. Backpressure valve is not designed as a tool for the well-workover operation and well production service, and not recommended for such application due to almost blank impossibility of the tubing handling unit thread inside coupling checkup on the well in operation.

Backpressure valve plunger is used as a tubing port plug for its connection and Christmas tree pressure test. The plunger is mountable on the backpressure valve using the same mounting connector as applied for the plug removal prior to the valve unit dismantling.

Plug valves

Plug valves are designed for long-term operation. Valve plunger and body have tapered lapped face for seat precise sealing. Plunger and stem are separated allowing plunger to shift under pressure. Plug valves are bidirectional two-position service valves with reduced diameter of orifice.

Effective lubrication system allows excellent grease distribution preventing from corrosion, optimizing sealing and providing smooth operation.

Well mouth control system

Single-well control panels

Standard control panels for the single well are designed for the handling of single shutoff valve with hydraulic control, and one or two wellhead bleeders with hydraulic and pneumatic control on each well.

Control panel automatically closes bleeders in response to the various alarm signals requiring well shutdown.

Using sensors, control panel monitors pressure state in apron and provides well shutdown in case of abnormally high or low pressure.

Instrumentation installed in the panel provides local control and monitoring of all functions required for the well opening or shutdown during normal and emergency operation modes.

Valves and auxiliaries are made of AISI-316 steel;
All solenoid valves or sensors and pressure relays are usually designed with explosion-proof or intrinsically safe enclosure to comply with requirements of certification agencies, such as CENELEC, BASEEFA, C.S.A., etc.


Well Pad Control Panels

Control panels for several wells represent combination of the standard logic circuit based on pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems in one system solution for application in land or offshore wells. Systems are designed according to the Customer’s specification and provide variety of options to satisfy or operational needs.

Usually this type of well control panels comprises removable and replaceable well control modules, each of which controls one well.

Control logic for emergency shutdown, fusible plug loops, process shutdown (by the high/low pressure control valves), and wellhead opening/shutdown sequence is similar to the functions of control panel for one well except that depending on design features multiple well control panels may effect shutdown of one well or all wells.

Wells number is based on the Customer's specification.

This system is used for the manual and remote wireless control of emergency shutdown valves opening and closing, as well as automatic local and remote control of emergency shutdown valves closing in the following cases:

  • Low pressure in circuit according to the pressure transducer signal
  • High pressure in circuit according to the pressure transducer signal
  • Hydraulics derating (low oil in the tank and low pressure in hydraulic system due to leakage or damage).
  • Low nitrogen pressure in the battery
  • Low nitrogen pressure in the cylinder
  • Local emergency shutdown
  • Remote emergency closing using radio link.
  • The system consists of the following components:
    • Hydraulic power pack
    • Accumulator block
    • Nitrogen gas cylinder holder

Hydraulic power pack consists of AISI 316 stainless steel box enclosed with backdoor, one side panel, and solid steel skid.

  • Accumulator block consists of AISI 316 stainless steel box as well, and is mounted on the same skid.
  • Accumulator block strictly correspond to the hydraulic power pack; they virtually were designed for parallel work.
  • Nitrogen gas cylinders are installed in the welded steel frame coated with antirust paint.
  • Emergency shutdown valves are controlled by means of hydraulic system actuated by the Haskel pneumohydraulic pump .
  • Front panel comprises three pressure gauges (n.40) controlling pressure in the emergency shutdown valve line ESDV-1000 and ESDV-2000, and hydraulic system.
  • Two control knobs are installed below pressure gauges of two emergency shutdown valves. Additionally configuration provides for the following instruments:
